2018 Grand Prize Winner for NWF
Very honored to have won the grand prize for the National Wildlife Federations 2018 photo contest! I was on a trip to Bosque Del Apache with good friend John Kim Lowery. A surreal moment when I was photographing this beautiful animal, and then like every photographer does, you check the camera to see what you got. This is what I saw, and later on submitted to NWF.

2017 First Place Birds NWF
One special moment took place in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania, Africa. This southern masked weaver bird was caught in the process of making it's nest with fresh green grass. The lush looking nest, in the rainy season had not dried up at this point. I was very honored and humbled to have won this award with 25,000 entries in the contest. https://www.nwf.org/Magazines/National-Wildlife/2018/Dec-Jan/PhotoZone/2017-Winners
