Dark Hollow Falls

This image was taken in June of 2013 near Big Meadows in Shenandoah National Park. Depending on the time of the year will make every shot unique, very green and spring/summer like. Exposure time on this image is a full 30 seconds at 50 ISO.

Perpetual Change

I keep coming back to this image I took in the Smokey Mountains on a small river coming out of Cades Cove. I found this tree right in the waters path, the water will keep flowing, eroding away it's root ball and eventually killing the tree. The water also provides endless nourishment to the tree, everlasting water and minerals for life sustainability. Come to think of it, the tree is perfectly placed, just where it was intended.

Running Water

One day sitting beneath a tree in Great Smokey Mountains National Park, I was reminiscing about what my father's Indian guides name was, he was Running Water and I was Little Spring. This is a perfect homage to him, for he loved the outdoors and really would have loved being on the shoreline watching the river run. Love you Pops, miss you!

Mesa Arch

Just as the sun peaks over the horizon, we received a little starburst, being cloudy this day adds pro's and con's to the image. One day I'll catch it right, that's what keeps you coming back. Still a magical place on earth, surreal.

This image was captured in Bosque Del Apache on a waning full moon. As the moon set early in the morning over the Chupadera Mountains these sand-hill cranes fly in front for a beautiful image that I intended to capture.

The Landing

In this image I want to show more of the surrounding cranes gathered in a congregation. These cranes move into flooded corn fields in Bosque Del Apache to feed, socialize and mate up if not already spoken for, sand-hill cranes are known to mate for life.

Snow Geese Blast Off

Early morning in December 2017 these snow geese create quite the spectacle while taking off out of the water, known as the "Blast Off". It appeared to be record numbers this year but who's to say, it's beautiful to watch.

Sand-hill Cranes in Bosque

Sand-hill cranes fly between the beautiful cottonwood trees in Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Bosque meaning forest or forest of the Apache Indians, who inhabited these grounds years back.

Monument Valley

The sun just breaks the horizon at Monument Valley, it looks like a star burst creating significant lens flare on the image. You either like it or you don't, but whats not to like, photography is subjective, in this image the sun rises and takes control, another start to a beautiful day.

This gray wolf actually came up upon us while driving the roads of Denali NP with a Pro Photo Permit. This image was taken with a 400mm, full frame head shot. What an incredibly once in a lifetime moment. Never forget this one...

Brigadier Sr. Cocoa Beach Florida

Arriving on the beach early one morning before sunrise I captured what appears to be a shrimping boat just off the Cocoa Beach Pier. With a nice swell building on the horizon, it looks like another beautiful day here on earth.

The Gathering

Here in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge we have a unique mix of birds right off of Black Point Drive. I count three species, a birder would easily get this one!

Walking on Water

It's spring time in Florida and the hoodies are having some fun. These two frisky male mergansers are in the chase for three females. as one lone great egret chills in the back ground, it's pre-occupied on fish.
